How Vacation Mode Works
Vacation Mode is a single control that pauses your presence schedule for a set period. Instead of manually turning off your connection before you leave and remembering to switch it back on when you return, you pick a return date once and the tool handles both ends automatically.
While Vacation Mode is active, Stay Green stops overriding your presence entirely — your workspace shows your normal (away/offline) status, exactly as if the tool were switched off. The moment your chosen date passes, your schedule resumes on its own with no action needed from you.
How to Turn It On
- Open your dashboard at staygreenonslack.com/app.
- Expand the "Vacation" section below your Schedule settings.
- Pick the date you'll be back.
- Save — it takes effect immediately across every connected workspace on your account.
It's Account-Wide
Vacation Mode isn't scoped to a single workspace or platform. If you have both Slack and Teams connected under the same account, both are paused together from the same control — there's nothing separate to toggle for each one.
Coming Back Early
If your plans change and you're back before your chosen return date, you don't have to wait it out. A "Resume now" option is available on the status card so you can turn your schedule back on immediately, whenever you're ready.
Vacation Mode vs Cancelling
Vacation Mode only pauses the presence schedule — it has no effect on your subscription, which keeps running as normal. If you also want to pause billing while you're away, use "Manage subscription" from your dashboard; see our guide on pausing instead of cancelling for how that works.
