      Short version: We store your Slack session tokens so we can keep your Slack status active. We never sell your data, never share it with third parties, and you can delete everything at any time.

What data we collect

To provide the service, we collect and store:

Your email address — used to create and identify your account
Slack session tokens (xoxc, xoxd) — used to call the Slack API on your behalf to update your presence status
Slack session cookies (d-s, b, x) — required alongside session tokens for Slack's API authentication
Workspace URL — identifies which Slack workspace the tokens belong to
Schedule preferences — the days, times, and timezone you configure for your active status
Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store card details

How we use your data

Your tokens are used for one purpose: making authenticated requests to Slack's API to keep your status active according to your configured schedule. Nothing else.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

How the Chrome extension works

The Stay Green On Slack Chrome extension reads your Slack session tokens and cookies from your browser while you are signed in to Slack. This data is transmitted directly to your Stay Green account and stored securely. The extension does not transmit data to any third party, does not run in the background, and only activates when you click it.

Permissions used:

cookies — to read Slack session cookies (d, d-s, b, x) required for API authentication
scripting — to read your xoxc session token from Slack's localStorage, which is not accessible via cookies
tabs — to identify which Slack workspace tab is active

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure provider. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest and transmitted over HTTPS. Access is restricted to your account via row-level security — no other user can access your tokens.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services to operate Stay Green On Slack:

Supabase — database and authentication
Stripe — payment processing (we never see your card details)
Netlify — web hosting

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your rights

You can:

Delete your tokens at any time from the Setup panel in the app
Delete your account entirely by emailing hello@staygreenonslack.com — we will permanently delete all data associated with your account
Request a copy of your data by emailing us

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and do not log in for 12 months, your account and associated data will be deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
