Chrome Extension — easiest way to connect
Install the extension, open Slack in Chrome, click the icon — your tokens are filled in automatically. No developer tools needed.
  1. Click Install extension below and add it to Chrome
  2. Go to slack.com in Chrome and sign in to your workspace
  3. Click the Stay Green icon in your browser toolbar (top right)
  4. Click Send to app — tokens will appear here automatically
  5. Hit Save Tokens below and you're done

  1. Open Slack in your browser (not the desktop app) — go to app.slack.com
  2. Look at the URL in your address bar — it will show something like yourcompany.slack.com
  3. Copy just that part (without https://)

  3. Click the Application tab at the top of the DevTools panel
  4. In the left sidebar, click Local Storage → https://app.slack.com
  5. Find the row called localConfig_v2 and click it
  6. In the value, find "token": — copy the value that starts with xoxc-
  1. Open Slack in Chrome at app.slack.com
  2. Press F12 to open Developer Tools
  3. Click the Application tab → Cookies → https://app.slack.com
  4. Find the cookie named exactly d (just the letter d)
  5. Copy the value in the Value column — it starts with xoxd-
  1. Open Slack in Chrome at app.slack.com
  2. Press F12 → Application tab → Cookies → https://app.slack.com
  3. Find cookies named d-s, b, and x — copy the value for each one
  4. Tip: use the search box at the top of the cookies list to filter by name

Step 3 — Extension

It grabs your Slack session securely in one click — no passwords, nothing stored in the extension.

This part needs desktop Chrome.
The extension connects your account in one click, but it only runs on a computer. You can finish this step later — your setup so far is saved.
Step 4 — Connect

Connect your Slack account.

  • 1Open app.slack.com in a new Chrome tab and pick your workspace.
  • 2Click the Stay Green icon in your toolbar.
  • 3Hit Import to Stay Green — we'll take it from there.

  1. Open app.slack.com in a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave…), sign in, and select your workspace.
  2. Open DevTools — F12 (Windows) or ⌥⌘I (Mac) — and click the Console tab.
  3. Paste this, press Enter. It prints your xoxc token + Workspace URL:

  4. In DevTools go to Application → Cookies → https://app.slack.com. Copy the d cookie (that's your xoxd, starts xoxd-) and the d-s cookie. Paste them exactly as shown — do not decode them.
